CAS Study Abroad Scholarship

College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) Study Abroad Scholarship

The Office of the Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) has established the CAS Study Abroad Scholarship to encourage undergraduate students who are majors in the College, to pursue an opportunity to study abroad. The scholarship amount varies from a minimum of $500 to a maximum of a $1,000 depending on availability of funds and the number of applicants. The scholarship is awarded annually, and it is administered by the Department of Romance Languages and Literatures.

Eligibility requirements:

  • Applicants must be currently enrolled, full-time, matriculated University at Buffalo undergraduate students, in good standing, pursuing a major within the College of Arts and Sciences.
  • Applicants must have already applied for an accredited study abroad program.
  • Applicants must participate in the study abroad program for full-time credit.
  • Preference is given to students who have documented financial need.

The Application consists of:

  1. Application Form (pdf file)
  2. A one-page typed Statement of Purpose
  3. One Letter of Recommendation from a faculty member
  4. A current DARS report

Submission Deadline: 4 pm Friday, April 4, 2008
