Julian Park Society
The Julian Park Society is dedicated to enriching the academic experience for students within the College of Arts and Sciences, the academic foundation of the University at Buffalo.
Enhancing academic programs and improving educational opportunities in the College is a cause to which Dr. Julian Park, the first Dean of the College, devoted his life and intellect. As the University at Buffalo continues on its path of growth and innovation, donors who contribute annual gifts of $1,000 or more to the College distinguish themselves as Julian Park Society members. Graduates of the last decade with charitable gifts of $500 or more, are also welcomed as Julian Park Society GOLD members. Matching gifts count toward membership as well.
Through their generosity, members play a key role in offsetting the cost of undergraduate and graduate education, as well as expanding educational opportunities for today’s students, a tradition that Dr. Julian Park set in place nearly one hundred years ago.

Today’s students come to the University at Buffalo for the same reasons that earlier generations came, ten years ago or forty years ago: for a high quality, well-rounded and affordable education. But as a UB education has become more valuable than ever, it has also become more costly.
Few people realize that UB receives less than one-third of its operating budget from New York State. As funding becomes increasingly limited for higher education, thousands of alumni and friends bridge that gap by generously contributing to the College of Arts and Sciences. Through membership in the Julian Park Society, donors create the possibilities that cannot be realized through state or federal funding alone.
