Letter from the Chair of the Dean's Advisory Council
UB's College of Arts and Sciences has enjoyed a remarkable academic year. As Chairperson of the College's volunteer Dean's Advisory Council, I'm proud to part of its success.
The achievements of faculty, students, alumni and staff foretell a bright future for the College. And he College is earning national recognition as it enhances its academic programs for students, recruits talented new faculty, continues its tradition of engaging in cutting-edge research, and strengthens community outreach programs.
One of the great benefits of being involved in the life of the College as a donor and volunteer is the chance to meet the talented faculty and students who make the College such an exciting learning environment. Learning is a life-long experience and participating in the life of the University offers a unique opportunity for all involved to grow in knowledge and wisdom.
On behalf of the students and faculty of the College, I thank you for your interest and continuing support and generosity. I am especially pleased to recognize, celebrate and thank the alumni and friends whose philanthropic kindnesses are so exceptionally important to the vitality and growth of the College. With your help and continued support the College will continue to grow much to the benefit of current and future UB students and to all who are touched by the first-rate education that they are receiving.
Sincerely,
Eileen S. Silvers
